With summer slowly behind us, I was thinking that it is time I start preparing my balcony garden for the colder months!! Of course a lot of the plants I have (the lovely succulents) will survive the winter, they just need to be brought indoors or covered during the frosty months, they are really hardy plants and like I keep saying so easy to love…..:) Here are a few photographs of my indoor succulents. I hope these will inspire you to start your own garden or maybe get started with a single planter…..try it, it’s fun…..:) Enjoy!!
The entrance hallway houses my indoor succulents…..
The succulents on an Ikea tray, the cushion, basket and metal rooster adds interest…..:)
A colourful ceramic planter, some recycled dessert bowls and an Ikea tray along with the succulents…..:)
From right…’Opuntia microdasys’ or ‘Bunny Ears Cactus’ is from Mexico and ‘Cylindropuntia spinosoir’ is a shrubby cactus found both in Mexico and Southern USA. They make great house plants….
The money plant is a really easy to grow indoor plant and can also be grown from stem cuttings…..using bright colourful planters makes the plants more attractive….:)
A South African succulent ‘Frithia pulchra’ has pretty white centred flowers…….
A few old Christmas decorations, an unused red Body Shop case and my lovely succulent….’Euphorbia inermis’
Colourful ceramic planters add cheer!!
Pretty aren’t they?
Crushing on succulents…..
