Hello I have been missing from the blogging world for a while now, so it’s good to be back. We took off to Scotland for a few days and accompanied by family, it was such a good break for all of us. I have come back energised , full of ideas and am currently lovin’ cottage style interiors. I would like to share a few images of the really homely and comfortable cottage we stayed in while on holiday.
The charming Scottish cottage………
A very charming attic room meant to be the children’s bedroom especially caught my attention because it was cosy , warm and soaked with sunlight through the five skylights which apart from adding character to the room also provided stunning views into the surrounding countryside……..
The skylights ensured ample light and stunning views…….
The window seats below the skylights…..
The vintage styled cushions added oodles of charm….
The wood panelled wall cleverly conceals the door to a small service area………
A small nook with a bookshelf and table/chair form an ideal reading corner…….
An interesting collection of books…..
The landing space leading to the attic bedroom also forms a reading corner with a really comfortable armchair, a good collection of books and paraphernalia…..
A comfortable armchair and a good collection of books!!
An old chest covered with a hand knit lace shawl adds to the old world charm……
The eye catching accessories…….
The charming ceramic lamp base….
I will be sharing more images of the other bedrooms and the large kitchen which really forms the heart of the space. What kind of place would you like to stay in while on holiday?
