It’s exactly a year today that I started blogging!! yay!! A whole year of blogging……. I did not think that I could keep at it especially when you feel that nobody is actually reading what you put out there. If you are really passionate about something then it really does keep you going so here’s hoping that I will be saying the same on the 26th of March 2016……….:)
My first ever post was on owls so lets look at my top ten interior accessories/products exactly a year later using owls…….it’s heartening to see that there are a lot of people out there who share my passion for owls…….:)

Hello…..how is everyone doing? April is just around the corner and its finally spring time here in the UK too with much longer days finally and definitely a bit warmer (the chilly winds though are a dampener and my winter coat is still out…..) but I digress, pardon me!! Spring means it’s time to spring clean and put away the heavy rugs/throws and bring in a lighter, softer look indoors. Whenever spring approaches I start dreaming about all white interiors. Exposed brick walls painted white and white wooden floorboards. There is something about white in interiors which works really well and everything else really!!! Take a look…….am sure some of you will like it but I have known a lot who don’t too………
Scandinavian style interiors with limed floorboards, classy furniture and pots of green literally does make me wish for a space like this !!! estmagazine.com.au

What a cosy corner!! White need not be overwhelming……mixed with rustic features like the vintage table and the wall unit along with the white Smeg refrigerator, this space looks so inviting. http://www.tvoydesigner.ru

I am totally in love with herringbone flooring so obviously I like chevron, and there are so many drool worthy accessories out there which I am sure you will whole heartedly agree with once you see the products below…..:)
The chevron black and white cushions looks great in this Manhattan apartment.
Like they say, a little bit of glitter never hurt anyone. Chevron cushion by Ralph Lauren home.
Chevron rugs look pretty cool too. This adorable orange rug sits in so well with the stylish blue side table. allmodern.com
A chevron rug to love from Urban Outfitters.
The white tile backsplash does not look boring because of the chevron pattern.
I do like the use of patterns in interiors. Herringbone patterns look especially cool and stylish and when used as a flooring pattern it adds depth and great visual interest to any space. I have a huge crush on wooden herringbone flooring and am dreaming that one day I can use a similar pattern in my own hallway or kitchen.
Just totally love the look of this chevron wooden floor. It’s stylish and adds so much character to the space. wisuella.blogspot.fi
Although it’s a small space the dark wooden chevron flooring does not make the room feel crowded. theultralinx.com

Hello, we are into March already……where has the past two months gone by? Now that spring is just round the corner and we are well into 2015, we are beginning to see some definite trends in the interior world. Well all big design magazines, interior design blogs, paint companies like Dulux come up with their own trends. I think that one of the trends which will stay this year and last longer than that are oversized art works. The gallery walls will take a back seat.
A sun room designed by Jessica Helgerson filled with greens and an oversized artwork which is the show stopper. http://www.lonny.com
I love this dining space…… residencemagazine.se
Teal is one of my favourite colours. I am not a big fan of green by itself and do love hints of blue so a combination of the two really works well for me. A teal coloured feature wall in an otherwise white space will work wonders if you ask me. There are so many ways to introduce a little bit of colour into our homes.
Add a little bit of teal in your space. Introduce a vase and a chair with a lot of indoor plants, they will weave magic. ashadeofteal.com
This teal hallway with the exposed brick wall speaks of mixing different style elements which works oh so well. http://www.housetohome.co.uk
Teal works so well with yellow and introducing pattern is of course icing on the cake.
All this teal makes me want to introduce some colour in my home now. A bit of a spring refresh. What do you think?
