Hello, while I was writing the post on ‘spider plants’ I generally started thinking about houseplants in the bedroom. I have a money plant on my chest of drawers and a little cacti which is a much-loved gift from my sister when she visited earlier this year. Let’s take a look at some really beautiful bedrooms with plants in them.
There is a big debate whether you should have plants in the bedroom or not. One school of thought says that as there is no light in the night the process of photosynthesis is reversed and the plants take in oxygen moderately instead of producing it. So in a way you are competing with the plants for the oxygen in the room.
On the other hand it is said that plants respire at a slower rate than they photosynthesize, so you can actually gain a few molecules of oxygen. It is an ongoing debate. What do you think? Would you have plants in your bedroom? I have a few slow-growing succulents in mine.
