Wallpapers with the watercolor effect was one of the most talked about interior trends of 2017. The cool mesmerizing effect of a water color painting was introduced as a headboard for a master bedroom or as a cool backdrop for a living room.

2. Tropical Prints
Tropical prints was one of the most talked about design trends of 2017.

3. Bright Green
Following closely is the bright green color. Pantone declared it the color of 2017. This year’s color represents refreshment, rejuvenation and rebirth according to Elle Decor. So we have seen this bright neutral color in the runways, home accessories, wallpaper and furniture. Did you go in for green too ? How did you use it in your home ? Trend or not a green velvet sofa is a definite ‘yes’. A lot of us introduced this bright neutral color into our homes this year.

4. Patterns and prints
2017 saw a resurgence in the use of artisan made prints and patterns in home decor and design. Brightly colored African inspired prints in cushions, rugs, wall hangings have been really popular. Upholstery fabrics in tribal prints and patterns has also been largely popular.
Handwoven monochrome rugs in blacks, whites and browns have been very popular this year.

5. Terracotta
This earthy humble material which has been in existence for thousands of years was all popular this year.
