Is it just me or have you noticed that concrete lights are trending in interiors right now. I am a big fan of concrete floors (I have written a post about the same earlier) but was not too sure about concrete lights till I came across a few brilliant examples which I would love to share with you. Do let me know what you think??
Are you inspired by these concrete lamps. Would you recommend one ?
Plates are amongst the multi functional kitchen essentials aren’t they? They go beyond their traditional function. They are collectibles used to create one-off displays. The range and variety of plates available today is quite mind-boggling. I have a few mismatched ones always on the lookout for more interesting ones……:) One day when I have my own kitchen I dream of displaying them on an entire wall……..a girl can dream, can’t I ? For now though take a look at these gorgeous plates……:)
Another post on handmade Moroccan plates soon…….I hope you enjoyed this one!!
It’s fall and although it’s not as cold as expected for the end of September here in the UK, it is definitely getting a bit chilly. So this is the time to make our homes a bit more cozier and warm. One of the ways to do that is by adding a rug isn’t it? Whether it is one that you place in front of the sofa in the living room or one you place in the bedroom, a rug definitely makes a space warm and inviting.
Did you enjoy this post? I have been feeling a bit off colour lately, looking at these lovely rugs has definitely made me look up. Hope you have a lovely week.
Hello! Aren’t coloured bottles everywhere these days? Every major departmental store has a couple of bottles on display in their home section. It’s just lovely to display an array of different sized bottles together. It could be for arranging flowers, growing some water based plants or just for decorating by themselves. It’s also a brilliant way of recycling, something we all should do to show a little love to our gorgeous and wonderful planet. A few inspirational images……
Hello I am just totally going tray table crazy at the moment!! Just wanted to share few of my current favourites with you.
Hello everyone !! While I was writing the blog post on coffee table décor, I thought it will be real fun if I try styling my own coffee table with books and decorative objects that I have. It’s also interesting to note that my coffee table is actually behind my sofa in the living room and is a place for all my daughter’s toys…..:) It’s partly because one it is almost impossible to have a styled coffee table with a bouncy and energetic toddler around and also largely due to space constraint in our small apartment. I have tried out different ways of grouping books and things together to make it look appealing and nice, please do let me know what you think???
I really wanted to see if I can manage to pull off an organised and good-looking and styled coffee table top with books and accessories that I already own…….
Now to add the books and accessories…….
LOOK………………..number ONE !!
LOOK……………..number TWO !!
Coordinating a few colours also makes the arrangement more attractive, the red of the shoes and the red wooden horse!! The decorative horse is from Debenhams !!
A tray is a really clever way of styling a coffee table, it gives you so many possibilities of changing and rearranging and getting a different look every time….See for yourself
LOOK……..number THREE !!
LOOK……..number FOUR !!
I had so much fun putting it all together, I hope you enjoyed it too !! Which arrangement did you like best….1/2/3/4…..it will be so good to know your opinions too…..
One of the secrets of making a living room look really chic and cool is having a stylish coffee table. In fact two of the most essential pieces of furniture in the living room are the sofa and the coffee table. Once you have the coffee table, all one needs to do is accessorize it. Simple things like a tray or a platter with a vase of flowers and a few books could do the trick. Once you have the basics, layering the table can make it more interesting like displaying some of your quirky bits and bobs. Few gorgeous coffee tables for you to feast on……
The basics for a coffee table top are a few interesting coffee table books, a tray to accommodate the books, interesting decorative accessories, a few candles along with a flower vase which feels like the must haves for styling but of course you can go your own way and do something totally different. A unique coffee table does not need to much to dress it up.
What kind of style would you go for ?
Hello, don’t you think that one of the ways to provide some TLC to plain white walls is to create a gallery wall. It could be a collection of old black and white photographs reminding you of special moments from the past or a collection of your children’s art work, the possibilities are of course endless and it will definitely take more than one blog post to cover ‘gallery walls’. Today let’s just look at black and white gallery walls.
More interesting gallery wall ideas in another post soon to follow…….:)
